Today there is a Full Blood Moon Eclipse in Pisces, a celestial event that since ancient times we human beings have seen as portends of change that is about to occur.

It is called a “Blood Moon” as when the eclipse occurs the moon can often appear red in the sky, as the light from the sun is being blocked by the earth and therefore the moon doesn’t have its’ usual alabaster glow.

I have often thought about what people in ancient times must have thought when they saw the moon glowing an angry red color and how terrifying that must have been, especially since eclipses do usually bring in sudden events and sweeping change.

And the dreamy, watery world where nothing is certain but therefore everything is possible is the realm of Pisces, the sign that rules creativity, intuition, and the world of dreams.

I had a really vivid dream last night in which I saw an enormous wave approaching that was sweeping up everyone and everything in its’ path.

The sky was dark and there was a deep, rumbling sound and the sheer power and enormity of this wave was terrifying as it caught me and for a few moments I could feel myself being tossed, helpless and floundering as it swept me away.

And even though I kept trying to swim, eventually I had no choice but to surrender to this giant wave and allow it to take me to wherever it would go.

This eclipse dream I had was symbolic yes, but also very literal in a way, as this eclipse is happening directly on the North Node of the Moon, which is the point that is constantly pulling or pushing us forward toward our destined future.

And this dream definitely made a lot of sense to me given what is currently happening to me in my own life!

And so, eclipses are portals that carry us toward that destiny, allowing for fated events, new opportunities- but will require that you stop pushing the boulder uphill, fighting for what isn’t yours and just surrender.

Keep dreaming, follow your intuition, love out loud with pure intent and trust your heart.

What is meant for you will always find you.

And ride the wave of destined change to wherever it will carry you.
