We have finally arrived at the last week of the year 2021, which means that we have almost made it to the end of what for most of us has been a pretty complicated year.
Despite not being in total lockdown like we were in 2020, things here in the U.S. and all over the world have still felt quite tenuous with the ever-present global pandemic that we have been working through.
I don’t know about you, but I feel like most of us are just tired.
Tired of hearing about friends and family who have tested positive for Covid (again), tired of telling our kids that they have to stay home and isolate away from friends, tired of not feeling safe doing regular things such as going out for groceries or to the movies.
I keep hearing my clients ask me, “when is it going to get easier”?
One of the things I feel like 2021 has taught me is that maybe it won’t get easier – but perhaps we will all get stronger.
I believe that we are in the process of creating a new era, or phase in our humanity’s growth and evolution.
And that the chaos, fear, and uncertainty we are dealing with, as well as events in our own lives that force us to look within and examine ourselves, our beliefs and behavior are a big part of that.
We are being asked to give birth to a new way of thinking and being, to create more compassion, empathy, equality, love, and kindness.
This kind of change is never easy because it requires us to go deep within and examine what isn’t working and acknowledge what we need to fix or do better.
Another thing that 2021 has given me is a renewed sense of faith in myself and hope for humanity.
We can endure a lot and grow by way of our challenges.
As we close out this year, we have a chance to create a new beginning – a brand new 2022.
Every ending brings with it the hope of a bright new beginning.
That’s how reincarnation works.
You have the power to be reborn to a new future any time you choose, all you need to do is create an ending that becomes a new beginning.
Goodbye 2021 – Hello 2022.
